Drake Takes #1 Spot on the Charts With Debut “Thank Me Later”

According to MTV.com Drake’s debut album “Thank Me Later”, sold more than 446,000 copies. That puts it just behind the first-week figures for this year’s best-seller so far, Lady Antebellum’s Need You Now, which sold 481,000 in its first week, and Sade’s Soldier of Love, which notched 502,000 in its bow. Drake’s estimated numbers are more than enough to best the week’s chart debuts from two music industry veterans, Tom Petty and Sarah McLachlan, as well as the totals for the latest Now compilation.
