Jay-Z, whose single ‘D.O.A.’ has been nominated for Best Hip-Hop Video and Best Male Video at the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards, will perform a track from his eagerly-awaited album, The Blueprint 3 at the live ceremony in New York City on September 12. Not only will he perform at the show, but he is also nominated for two moon men for his “D.O.A. (Death Of Autotune)” music video. Hov will have to face off with some big names and videos including Kanye West’s “Love Lockdown” ,Asher Roth’s “I Love College” and Flo Rida’s “Right Round”.
Other rappers up for awards at this year’s VMAs include Drake who will take his “Best I Ever Had” video and KiD CuDi with his “Day N Nite” music video, both rappers are up against Asher Roth for ‘Best New Artist.”
The award show will air live on September 13 at 9 p.m. EST from stages throughout NYC. As of press time it is uncertain what song Hov will be performing. Jay-z will also perform a webcast on September 10th of his Rocawear Anniversary.
