In a half dozen phone calls between a locked-up George Zimmerman and his wife, the couple talk about their confidence in the future and how to move around money, just-released recordings reveal.

Special Prosecutor Angela Corey this morning released audio of several phone calls between Zimmerman while he was locked in the Seminole County Jail, and his wife.

Prosecutors allege they prove that Shellie Zimmerman lied when she told a judge that the couple was broke.

Former Bad Boy Records rap artist G Dep was sentenced today to 15 yrs to life for the murder of a man in 1993 during a failed robbery attempt. This is the culmination of events triggered by the confession Dep, born Trevell Coleman, gave in Dec 2010 some 17 yrs after the crime.

As the Trayvon Martin case continues to play out, yesterday we saw the cry for justice reach International levels. In London, a rally took place at the US Embassy in support of the Martin family. The scenes that have become so familiar over the past few weeks domestically, of hooded citizens demanding the arrest of George Zimmerman, took over the London streets.

Parliament member Diane Abbott had the following message for the masses. “His case speaks to the demonisation of young black men here and in North America. Trayvon should never be forgotten.”

By now I’m sure most of you have heard the remarks of Geraldo Rivera as the Trayvon Martin case and its various layers effect the nation. Geraldo, while not faulting the victim, does basically place an unusual level of blame on the clothing young Trayvon was killed in vs the stereotypical views of his murderer. No matter WHAT you wear there is no true connection to what happened in Florida that night. This falls very much in line with the train of thought many rape victims deal with. Being told that the way you dress aided in giving signals to warrant or invite sexual aggression is a common occurrence.

I woke up yesterday with a few things on my mind. Personal issues, family issues and others could have easily held my focus but in the midst of that I knew that this day truly was not about me at all. I got up, ate breakfast, showered and packed my back pack for the day ahead. After a great lunch meeting I started contacting folk for the event to come. We were going to rally. The news has now gone national on the murder of Trayvon Martin and the lack of an arrest by the Sanford Police Dept of killer George Zimmerman. People are tired, frustrated and angry that the justice that they pay to have provided is not equally and fairly administered. So Union Square serves as the meeting point for the masses. We heard from various speakers before the Parents of Trayvon spoke to us. Showing strength that I could only hope that I’d have, they thanked us for the love and support.

17 year old Trayvon Martin was walking to a family member’s house when he was shot in the chest and killed – his mother later heard his screams for help during the 911 call. Oh I forgot to mention that Trayvor was black and his shooter reportedly claimed he was ‘suspicious looking’ so without warning he opened fire, hurling two bullets into young Trayvor’s chest.

The young victim was armed….with a pack of Skittles candy.
