So apparently, Nelly is currently working on his comeback album slated for release in March 2010. A new song from the project has leaked online. “She Got Me” was produced by J.R. Rotem, who also produced Rihanna’s “S.O.S.” and “Bust It Baby Pt. 2″ by Plies.

This new song is reminiscent of Nelly in his prime during Country Grammar and Nellyville. He’s actually singing on most the track but it works over the poppy beat, which sample king J.R. most likely dragged out of the 80’s. As with all of Nelly’s song “She Got Me” has a lot of radio appeal,but it’s still fresh and I could see it getting a lot of play during the summer.

Word is that he is working with Usher, Janet and some other big names for his new album, so it could actually be worth a listen. When I was younger Nelly, Ja Rule and Ashanti ruled the airwaves.  The other two haven’t quite made a comeback, let’s see what Nelly has in store for us.
