Jay-Z has teamed up with Rhapsody® and MTV to promote the highly-anticipated release of his new album, “The Blueprint 3.” As part of the partnership, the entire album will be available for fans to listen to for free on Rhapsody.com and from MTV’s “The Leak”, almost two weeks prior to its official release. “The Kings,” Run-DMC were honored today in their hometown of Hollis, Queens as a street renaming and dedication will take place in honor of the three from 11a.m. – 4p.m.

Composed of Joseph Simmons as “Run,” Darryl McDaniels as “DMC” and Jason Mizel as “Jam Master Jay,” the trio is famed for crossing rock and rap in the music industry with hits like “Walk This Way” with Aerosmith. It’s one thing to criticize or even flat-out insult Islam and other religions over the internet. It’s quite another thing, however, to show up to a public school wearing a shirt that says, “Islam is of the Devil.” Doing so led one Christian student to be sent home from school, which I feel was an entirely appropriate punishment

Cops tell us DJ AM — also known as Adam Goldstein — was found dead this morning in New York City.

The NYPD tells us he was found in his apartment at around 7 AM.

Sources tell TMZ DJ AM had not been seen or heard from him for a few days. This morning, one of his friends went to check on him, but got no response when after knocking on his apartment door.

We’re told the friend called the police, who broke down the door and found DJ AM’s body.  Read more...
