Philadelphia rapper, Dark Lo, has had quite the year. Releasing projects with Harry Fraud and V Don so far here in 2021. He is trying to release as much new music before he’s set to start serving a seven+ year sentence for witness tampering on 9-30-21.
So of course, Lo, just revealed that he is releasing one last project as a free man. With his new album, Extreme Measures, set to be released next Friday, Sept. 24th. That is all produced by legendary producer and rapper, Havoc of Mobb Deep. With a couple of features from Havoc as well. Including the just premiered through Complex, lead single, Mob Tales.
The gritty and grimy new single that has Havoc’s signature gritty and grimy sound. Finds both Lo and Havoc trading gritty street tales of their experiences growing up in the streets of Philadelphia and New York.
“Mobb Deep, Havoc, Prodigy (RIP!)-they are some of my rap idols, so it was a great honor for me to be able to work with Havoc on an entire project” Dark Lo commented to Complex. “Mob Tales” was the first beat Hav sent me, and he hit me with that grimy 90’s throwback vibe—what he does best. I couldn’t wait to lay my vocals on this track.”
Havoc also commenting about working with Lo, “I’m very excited about my project with Lo. It’s been a minute since I worked with an artist that has such a gritty sound, and that appeals to me. Gritty and grimy is that kinda lane I like to work in most. Lo, and I lived in that lane with, Extreme Measures.”
