Nearly five months ago, New York emcee Talib Kweli and legendary New York producer, Diamond D. Came together and released their highly-anticipated debut collaboration album, Talib Kweli and Diamond D Are Gotham.
After most recently releasing the video for I’ll Tell You Later. Back in June. Talib and Diamond D return with the debut today of the Mathieu Bitton-directed video for the closing track, The Fold. Off what’s still one of the best Hip-Hop album’s released so far this year.
Also arguably the best track on the album. The new visual finds Kweli and Diamond D inside a shop and outside by a basketball court in New York. Performing their stellar standout rhymes from the boom-bap heavy track. That has some DJ cuts in it too. With the likes of legendary comedian’s and longtime friends of Kweli, Dave Chappelle and Donnell Rawlings making cameos too. That sees both, The Chappelle’s Show, alum talking ish at the end of the new video.
