Tinashe comes through on her promise and boy was it worth the wait. After recently teasing new music over the past week via her socials. The R&B sensation truly delivers with her very upbeat and feel-good new single, Pasadena. That sees her teaming with fellow Los Angeles native, Buddy.
The new record, which samples Outkast’s hit single, Hey Ya, is named after the L.A. suburb that Tinashe grew up in. Really is a true feel-good and Summer ready jam. That will have you just as Tinashe and Buddy sing on part of the chorus, “Feelin’ right, feelin’ right, feelin’ right. Feelin’ free, feelin’ free, feelin’ right.”
The lead single from Tinashe’s upcoming highly-anticipated third solo album, 333. That’s set to drop sometime this year. It’s a truly catchy tune that comes just in time for the Summer and will get plenty of play not only on the radio. But I’m sure plenty of Summer BBQ’s, parties, family gatherings and other Summer functions. That we all can especially use more of now more than ever with the trying times and lockdowns many of us were in over the last nearly year and a half.
Tinashe herself having the following to say in a statement from a press release about the new record. “After the past year we have all had, I felt a very strong calling to release music that feels like joy, excitement, and freedom – to contribute positive energy to the universe. I wrote and recorded the song ‘Pasadena’ in my home in Los Angeles with a bold, bouncing tempo that makes me want to dance. The song is about growth, family, and the feelings I get when I visit the area I grew up in — energetic and nostalgic, but hopeful.”
