Robby Blair & Mickey Blue Drop New Video, Frequency feat. King Magnetic, Announce New Album

Robby Blair had a pretty big 2020. Dropping his debut album, Certified Influence, in November. That debuted in the top 30 on iTunes and featured collaborations with NEMS, Slaine, REKS & Rasheed Chappell. Plus production from Mr. Green and C-Lance. The album spawned the hard-hitting Mr. Green-produced single, Punch’em in the Face.

Also earning our coveted always popular New Artist Spotlight feature back in October of last year. Blair is looking to build off that momentum from 2020 to start 2021 and the new year. With the New Rochelle, New York emcee yesterday dropping his newest video and single, Frequency. A Mickey Blue-produced track that features King Magnetic. It’s off Blair and Blue’s upcoming collaboration album, Outside The Box|In Between the Lines. That they will be dropping a couple of weeks from today on Feb. 23rd.

Blair ironically saying in a statement about how the collaboration album with him Blue came about was partially cause of the latter hearing, Punch’em in the Face. “I have a handful of projects already completed for 2021, but I wanted to take a break from the producing end and collaborate more with other producers. I heard a track from Mickey Blue that he produced for Rasheed Chappell that was so fire, I had to introduce myself. Around the same time, Mickey heard my track “Punch’em In The Face” and we hit it off right away and decided to create Outside The Box|In Between the Lines.

Frequency, with its very cool graphics effects features in the visual. That finds Blair and Magnetic giving the dope bars and lyrics we have come to expect from both emcees. Obviously the first taste of the album. That many of us will really enjoy and look forward to, if it sounds anywhere near as dope as this. Blair hasn’t been around for long, but he is already starting to make his mark and let it be known just as we somewhat predicted in that feature piece, “we will be hearing plenty more from Blair with not only his upcoming debut album. But I’m sure plenty more music for hopefully plenty of years to come.”
