Asiahn Returns With New EP & Motown Records Debut, The Interlude

In 2019 Grammy Award-nominated singer and songwriter Asiahn delivered her soulfully honest and critically-acclaimed debut album, Love Train 2. Despite her connections as a singer and songwriter to such heavyweights as Dr. Dre, Jennifer Lopez, The Game and Ludacris, among those she worked with before making her solo debut in 2017. She put out all her work independently. Until last year.

Asiahn signing with historic label, Motown Records in 2020. You figured that meant new music was on way and sure enough. Asiahn released two new singles, Gucci Frames and Get Away. The first being released at the end of August, while the latter released mid-November. The very talented singer and songwriter also releasing an acoustic version of Get Away that features Los Angeles-based harpist and composer, Nailah Hunter. That was released just a few days before Christmas.

With all the new music that Asiahn released in 2020. I think fans were very hopeful that also meant a new album was on the way soon as well. Though she did release new music today with her new project and first on Motown with, The Interlude. Asiahn’s Motown debut is a 5-track EP instead. Which is still better than nothing though. So while me and the rest of Asiahn’s fans hope there’s still a sophomore album on the way at some point. Her brand new EP that you can hear below and was released today, should hopefully hold us over until she actually puts out a full-length sophomore album.
