Sa-Roc Leads Revolution In Debut Of Powerful New Video/Single, r(E)volution

Just the second female emcee signed to historic independent label, Rhymesayers Entertainment. Sa-Roc is leading the revolution with her new single, r(E)volution. Which she premiered earlier today the powerful new Tommy Nova-accompanying video. That sees Sa-Roc in front of an all black backdrop with smoke for effects. Dressed in all black with braids and hoop earrings, rapping/singing her revolutionary raps about the current state of Hip-Hop and the world. With clips of many of the ongoing protests that have gone on since the wrongful death of George Floyd. Also being played throughout.

Signed to Rhymesayers since 2016. This is off Sa-Roc’s sure to be highly-anticipated debut album with the label, The Sharecropper’s Daughter. That’s set to drop exactly two weeks from today on Oct. 2nd. It has been a long time coming for Sa-Roc, who initially put out her, MetaMorpheus EP. Not long after signing to the label. But never being able to put out an album with the label now with her upcoming 10th solo album.

With Rhymesayers being such a huge part of the Minneapolis area that was close to the area where the George incident happened. You knew somebody from Rhymesayers, like Sa-Roc, would eventual address part of the situation in song form. So it’s good to see and I’m sure will build the already high anticipation for many of the album.
