Griselda Records head and founder Westside Gunn is already back with his second solo album within a few months span. In, Flygod Is An Awesome God 2. The followup and sequel to last year’s, Flygod Is An Awesome God. It’s already the Griselda founders fifth project within a year time frame. That shows the stranglehold not only Gunn, but the whole Griselda label/crew has on the Hip-Hop/Rap game not only now. But for the past several years. As his label/crew mate Conway the Machine, dropped his second EP/project of this year recently with the Big Ghost LTD collaboration EP, No One Mourns the Wicked. That was released in May and not to mention Benny the Butcher releasing material from his own Black Soprano Family label, who he recently inked a deal with eOne Music for distribution. Gunn ditching the glamour of Pray For Paris and going back to the grimey art of making stuff in his basement. Had the following to say about the new album, “It’s still, Pray for Paris, but I wanted to bring more ART to the culture with Flygod Is An Awesome God 2. Also Stove God Cooks released a phenomenal album that didn’t get the recognition it deserved, so I wanted to do something to make people circle back around, it’s not about WSG it’s about Hip-Hop.” Coming in at 14 tracks including a few skits, it features of course Cooks. As well as Gunn’s Griselda label/crew mate Benny. Not to mention Griselda’s latest addition Armani Ceasar. As well as regular collaborators Keisha Plum and Boldy James. Plus Rome Streetz. With production from regular collaborator and in-house producer, Daringer. As well as Conductor Williams, StreetRunner, Tarik Azzouz, DJ Shay, Sadhu Gold, Chuck Inglish and a few others.
