When it comes to some of the best young emerging emcees to emerge over the past several years, the duo of Johnny Venus and Doctur Dot. Better known as EARTHGANG, are definitely among some of the most standout and why J. Cole signed them to his Dreamville/Interscope Records label. It’s also why the Atlanta duo has even at times been compared to another great duo hailing from the ATL, in the legendary Outkast.
Dropping their very cinematic masterpiece major label debut, Mirrorland, last Fall. As well as being part of the very talented Spillage Village collective that includes 6BLACK and their Dreamville labelmate, J.I.D. Not to mention working with Cole, Smino, Kehlani, Young Thug, T-Pain and Arin Ray, among several others.
So it should be no surprise that the duo is the latest to be apart of Vevo’s latest new original live series, Ctrl. Both Vevo and EARTHGANG debuting/premiering earlier Tuesday, the very effortlessly funky dope, Ctrl Live Session, performance of what’s easily one of the most standout tracks on the album.
