G Herbo & Vevo Debut Ctrl Live Session Performance Of Gangstas Cry

When it comes to some of the best and most consistent rising young emcees in all of Hip-Hop right now and to emerge from Chicago over the last eight years, G Herbo, is a name that constantly comes up.  A pioneer of Chicago’s Drill scene when he first emerged in 2012 under the moniker Lil Herb with the very popular single, Kill Sh*t with fellow rising Chicago rapper Lil Bibby, the 24-year-old has become a fixture and big deal in not only Chicago, but Hip-Hop as a whole.

Building from the ground up with Machine Entertainment Group and his own 150 Dream Team, before signing a joint venture major label deal with Epic Records. Herbo has continued to grow his brand and level up with each new album, mixtape and project.  Working with a who’s who of fellow emerging rappers throughout his career from fellow Chicago natives, Chance the Rapper to King Louie, Vic Mensa, Lil Durk and the late Juice WRLD.  Not to mention legendary Chicago emcee Common and even Joey Bada$$, as well as Nicki Minaj, to name a few.  But his latest solo album, P.T.S.D., which he just dropped last Friday Feb. 28th, may arguably be his best yet.

So it should be no surprise that Herbo is the latest to be apart of Vevo’s latest new original live series, Ctrl.  Both Vevo and the very talented rising Chicago emcee debuting/premiering earlier today, the very raw and effortlessly dope, Ctrl Live Session, performance of what’s arguably not only the best track on the album.  But one of the best and most real so far of Herbo’s career, Gangstas Cry.
