Jaz-O Releases New Single, M-A-R-See-Why, Dedicated To Hometown

Hip-Hop pioneer, Jaz-O.  Who most know as, “The Originator” and mentor to Jay-Z, has recently within the past two to three or four years really started to get full on back in to music.  After reuniting with friend/foe/friend/foe and then friend again, Jay-Z at the Chicago stop of Jay’s 4:44 Tour back in December of 2018.  Jaz-O would go on to sign a distribution deal last year with the independent hand of his fellow Brooklyn emcees Roc Nation, Equity Distribution for his own label, Kingz Kounty Media Group.

Now almost a year later, Jaz-O, has finally released his first new music through the deal with his new single, M-A-R-See-Why.  Dedicated to the borough/housing projects that birthed him, Jay, the late great The Notorious B.I.G. and so many other great emcees, which they also grew up in.  The very soulful and truthful record is one that only somebody like Jaz, could really bring to life to really explain his love for his home borough and truly make you have that feel you have when you first listened to Hip-Hop.  Jaz-O having the following to say in a statement about the new single, “It’s almost impossible to make one song that sums up my experiences being born and raised in the Marcy Houses.  Yet, I present to the world how I, and so many others feel about our protective hub; our special lady – where I learned so much, and probably witnessed too much.  Mama took me to you…, began a saga of love, trials, and loyalty.  Walk with me.  I love you Marcy…”

This is just the first taste of what is sure to be great Hip-Hop, many avid true Hip-Hop listeners will truly appreciate from Jaz-O’s upcoming, The Warm Up EP.  Which is set for a Feb. 7th release date and will feature 10 new tracks from the Brooklyn-bred emcee, who will be here in Chicago to start the month of February to promote it.  The project also the first that will be released on Kingz Kounty Media Group/Equity Distribution.  You can listen to the new single below and look forward to the project coming out in the coming weeks.  Also if you are here in Chicago be sure to checkout one or both of these upcoming events on the flyers below.
