Eminem Debuts Dark & Eerie New Video, Darkness, Drops Surprise New Album, Music To Be Murdered By

Out of nowhere about a year and two months after his critically-acclaimed last solo album, Kamikaze, was surprise dropped, Eminem returns with yet another surprise album in the form of, Music to Be Murdered By.  There had been word for the last few weeks that Em was aggressively in the studio getting set to drop here in this new year of 2020 and first year of a new decade, but I don’t any of us thought his 11th solo album would come so soon.

The album, which is inspired by the late great Alfred Hitchcock, has 20 tracks featuring everyone from Royce Da 5’9″ to Black Thought, Q-Tip, Skylar Grey, Ed Sheeran, Juice WRLD, Anderson .Paak, Slaughterhouse (of course minus Joe Budden), as well as several others.  Being presented as a double album, Em even treats fans with the debut through Vevo of the eerie and dark, as well as shocking new video for one of the albums being standout tracks, Darkness.

A dark, yet eerie and somber song produced by Royce Da 5’9, Eminem and Luis Resto, which samples Simon & Garfunkel’s, The Sound of Silence.  It tackles and is inspired by the 2017 mass shooting at the Route 91 Harvest music festival in Las Vegas and serves as a commentary on gun violence.  The dark and eeirie, yet crazy dope new accompanying new visual finding Eminem sitting in a fold-out chair in the dark blue setting as he preps to take the stage.  A man not far in a hotel room full of guns and prescription drugs plotting a mass shooting before taking his own life as SWAT moves in to disarm the suspect.  The crazy dope visual really helping bring the crazy dope track to life, while also helping bring awareness to the gun laws and violence that need to be changed here in America.  Which Em is trying to help encourage his fans, as well as others to help change gun laws.  You can watch the crazy dark and eerie, yet brilliant new visual, as well as listen to the new album below.
