Royce Da 5’9″ Premieres New Video, Black Savage ft. Sy Ari Da Kid, White Gold, CyHi The Prynce & T.I.

Aside from a few loose singles, Royce Da 5’9″ has been relatively quite this year, but today he returns with the premiere of his new posse cut, Black Savage.  Which features Sy Ari Da Kid, White Gold, CyHi The Prynce and T.I.  The very black excellence accompanying video finds all three emcees and Sy Ari Da Kid, as well as White Gold, getting real clean-cut and having a good time at a party full of black excellence and culture, that celebrates black excellence, powerful black minds and prosperity.  With Royce’s former Slaughterhouse groupmate, KXNG CROOKED, even making a cameo in the new visual.  For a very powerful record and lyrically great posse cut that also celebrates powerful black minds, excellence and prosperity.  Which is also a part of the NFL and Jay-Z’s Inspire Change Initiative.  With lyrics such as, “Yeah, I ain’t ya average rapper residing in Calabasas.  Mashin’ the Aston through Malagasy in Madagascar.  I don’t believe in your white Jesus and Last Suppers.  I place value on brothers who never had justice.  I am the black savage, Ali and Foreman in Zaire fightin’ for black magic.  Rifles and flak jackets, mama was suicidal, papa had bad habits.  The product of true survival, rocker like Black Sabbath.  Hoppin’ up out the Chevy, Pac, Biggie, Machiavelli.  OG like Nas or Reggie, culture like Ox in “Belly”.  Vulgar like Akinyele, focus like Dr. Sebi.  We did it your way, but now the culture is boppin’ to our Sinatra medley.  I’m limitless energy, they gimmicks and imagery.  Kendrick, Cole and the Kennedys, lyrical Holy Trinity.”  Royce shows why he’s easily one of the top two to three lyricists and emcees currently alive.  With his former groupmate, KXNG CROOKED, one of the only very select few, if any you can put above him right now.
