BJ the Chicago Kid dropped what’s still one of the best albums not only in R&B/Soul, but music period back in July with his third solo album, 1123.
One of the more standout records that he released from the album was the single, Time Today. A very passionate lovers anthem that is easily not only one of the best records on the album, but of his career so far.
While today BJ updates the record and gives it even more life by adding fellow R&B/Soul great singer/songwriter Ari Lennox on a very passionate and amazing new remix. That has two of my favorite artists at the moment, who have also dropped two of the best albums of the year across all music period, giving us a collaboration that’s among the best of the year.
Ari’s silky honey smooth, angelic and passionately powerful vocals/lyrics on this remix adding the perfect twist with her passionate performance to make the already great passionate lovers anthem and even possibly Grammy nominated record at that too. Just as good, if not better than the original.
