Skyzoo & Pete Rock Bring Together, Eastern Conference All-Stars, On New Posse Cut ft. Westside Gunn, Conway The Machine, Benny The Butcher & Elzhi

With a little over two weeks till Skyzoo & Pete Rock drop their highly-anticipated collaboration album, Retropolitan, on Sept. 20th, the duo return with the albums second single, Eastern Conference All-Stars.  Following the amazing lead single, It’s All Good, along with the announcement a little over a month ago about the album set to be released on Mello Music Group, Skyzoo and Pete follow that up with one of the most anticipated tracks from the album.  The posse cut that features an Eastcoast All-Star lineup of some of the best spitters in Hip-Hop right now in the Griselda trio of Westside Gunn, Conway the Machine & Benny the Butcher, as well as Elzhi.  The new track showcases why Skyzoo picked these particular emcees for the very fire new track.  Which has all five emcees showing with such standout showings on the track why they are easily some of the best not only on the East, but all of Hip-Hop right now.

Skyzoo himself having the following to say about the track in a statement, “When putting together, Retropolitan, one of the first ideas I had was to put together the ultimate posse cut, with everyone who’s on the record being who I always had in mind.  Something in the vein of DMX’s “Ni**as Done Started Something,” Jay-Z’s “Reservoir Dogs,” LL’s “4321” etc.  I broke the idea down to Pete and he immediately played this beat.  Pete knew exactly what would work for us to go bar crazy.  When you put 5 top-tier lyricists on the same team at the same time; a blowout game ensues.  Glad to have my peoples, who happen to be some of the best in the biz penmanship wise all in the same starting lineup for this all star game.”
