Lupe Fiasco has been one of the best lyricists and emcees to come out of not only Chicago, but Hip-Hop period since first emerging onto the scene in 2006 with his critically-acclaimed debut album, Food & Liquor. Continuing to build on that success, Fiasco has since become a Grammy Award-winning rapper, as well as renowned entrepreneur and community advocate in his hometown, while still putting out several critically-acclaimed albums.
His latest album, DROGAS Wave, which was released last year, finally gets a visual treatment too. As earlier today he premiered through Vevo the new black-and-white video for one of the albums most standout tracks, Cripple featuring Elena Pinderhughes. The new visual finds Fiasco in New York performing the track and giving it a really classic 90’s Golden Era Hip-Hop feel. Truly helping bring the standout track with its insightful lyrics to life.
