M-Eighty Has, Done Done It, With Triumphant New Single & Return To Rap

Mostly known for his A&R and behind the scenes work with everyone ranging from KXNG CROOKED to Ghostface Killah, Kurupt, Killah Priest, Planet Asia and Benny the Butcher among several notables over the past few years, former Toledo native, M-Eighty, has finally returned to rapping after an almost five-year hiatius.

The longtime Wu-Tang Clan affiliate, who got his start in the music biz with Wu-Tang affiliated label, Think Differently Music Group nearly 15 years ago.  When he assisted Dreddy Kruger in the planning and execution of 2005 album, Wu-Tang Meets the Indie Culture.  Which paired Wu-Tang founders GZA and RZA with underground stars such as Ras Kass, MF Doom and Aesop Rock.

Most people would be surprised to know that M-Eighty raps himself as well.  Last putting out a solo album in 2011 with, Taking Back What’s Mine.  Which featured several members of the Clan and also putting out a group effort, the Almighty’s, The 2nd Coming, in 2013. The Almighty being a group he put together with himself, Killah Priest , Cappadonna and Canibus.

Finally having a little time to focus on M-Eighty artist projects now, he recently made his triumphant return to rapping now with the Vherbal-produced, Done Done It.  A track that features local Toledo battle rap icons Fif Element and Ghiftd.  It’s the first taste of M-Eighty’s upcoming new, Toledo EP, which will be dropping at the end of the month on Aug. 30th.

Though he himself no longer lives in Toledo and now resides in California for the past several years, M-Eighty, is still showing love to his hometown of Toledo.  As the new project features several Toledo artists he has built with over the years.  You can check the very dope new, Done Done It, single from him below that finds him and his fellow Toledo brethren showing why despite what most think, there’s talented emcees in the small Ohio town and not just in Cleveland.  As they all rap circles over the very soulfully triumphant backdrop and boast about all of their very stellar resumes.  Look for more from M-Eighty leading up to the new EP’s release in the coming weeks too.
