Benny The Butcher Debuts Cinematic New Video, 5 To 50 ft. India, Announces New Roc Nation Deal

Benny the Butcher and his Griselda Records label and crew have had quite the amazing past few years.  Whether it be dropping consistently dope projects, linking with Eminem for a one of a kind distribution deal with his Shady Records and now as Benny, Westside Gunn and Conway are getting ready to drop their collaborative debut group album, What Would Chine Gun Do, with Shady in Sept.

They have even more big news yet again, as Benny and Westside Gunn have announced they both now have management deals with Roc Nation.  Just when you think the Griselda movement and brand couldn’t get any bigger, they have now linked with two of the biggest names in Hip-Hop history over the course of only a few years.  Only further cementing the time is now for Benny, WSG, Conway and the rest of the GxFx crew.

Benny taking full advantage by earlier today debuting through Hypebeast, the very cinematic new Otto the Director-directed video, 5 to 50 featuring India.  One of the more standout and fan favorite tracks from The Butcher’s most recent project, The Plugs I Met EP, which he released in June.

A project that features such Hip-Hop heavyweights as Pusha T, Black Thought, Jadakiss and his Griselda labelmate, Conway.  This very cinematically raw and gritty The Alchemist-produced, 5 to 50, gets a just as cinematically raw and gritty accompanying visual, which helps bring the gritty cinematically raw street tales from Benny on the track truly to life.

With Benny having the following to say to Hypebeast in a statement about the new visual, “Just like the track, the” 5 to 50” video is inspired by real life events.  It’s my side of the story, along with India’s side of the story; and it depicts how those stories collide.  I bring you to Montana Ave; the block where I am from and illustrate my lifestyle and how some of those lifestyle choices affected India.  This was our life and it captures both perspectives.”

Westside Gunn, ironically enough making a cameo in the new visual, which you can watch below.  If you thought you already heard a lot from Benny and WSG before, you will be hearing and seeing a whole lot more now that they’ve linked with Jay and the Roc.  Not to mention they still have the Shady Records material coming in Sept. as well.
