Nearly a year and a half after we featured homegrown Chicago emcee, national spoken word artist and youth mentor, PHENOM, as our, New Artist Spotlight feature, we are back with a new video from him. The new Alvin Elmore-directed video for PHENOM’s very dope collaboration with fellow Chicago emcee and youth mentor, Add-2, That Dough, finding the two emcees, showing off what goes on in the hoods of their hometown of Chicago. As they spit their very conceptually great bars about how, that dough, can be the evil that sets back the youth so many times, but the conceptually great visual also shows how as mentors to many of the youth here in Chicago they can also change that.
