Almost exactly two months after releasing her very amazing double-sided single, Hooligan and Breakthrough, Chicago poet turned emcee, Brittney Carter is back with her official debut video. The Miguel Visuals-directed video for the latter, it’s a simple visual that finds Carter sitting in the studio, as she recites from her notebook the very poetic and inspiring rhymes about her struggles as a woman she’s had to endure to make her own breakthrough. Producers Disrupt and Heir Porter, who provided the perfect soulful backdrop, also making an appearance in the new video, which you can watch below. Look out for plenty of new music and content throughout the rest of 2019 from the very talented homegrown Chicago native, who’s already started to make her own buzzing breakthrough that shows she will be here for many years to come.
