DJ Muggs & Eto Announce New Album, Hell’s Roof, Release New Video/Single, Holy Wine

Just recently over the last month we highlighted Rochester, New York native emcee, Eto as our latest New Artist Spotlight feature and after predicting he would have a big 2019, he has started to do just that.  Releasing a collaborative EP with Willie the Kid, entitled, Heather Grey, that was all produced by V Don, nearly two and a half weeks ago, now comes news that Eto is set to be the latest emcee to do a collaborative album with the legendary DJ Muggs of the legendary and iconic, Cypress Hill and Soul Assassin’s.  The announcement of the highly-anticipated new album, Hell’s Roof, coming along with the release of the gritty and grimey new video and single, Holy Wine.  Eto’s gritty and raw emceeing the perfect marriage with DJ Muggs always raw, dark and rigged cinematic production.

This is just the first taste of what’s sure to be one of the best Hip-Hop albums or albums period released all of this year.  With the new collaborative 12-track album between the two greats set to release across all digital platforms on March 1st through Soul Assassins Records and is also now available for pre-order in vinyl, cassette, and a deluxe edition online at SoulAssassins.com

Muggs having the following to say in a statement about how the album came about, “I had just finished the ‘KAOS’ album, and wanted to work with someone new, and relatively unknown.  I was talking to Mayhem Lauren one day and asked him if he knew any dope MCs.  And he said he knows this kid from Rochester, New York named Eto and he’s dope.  So I sent him a track for the ‘Dia Del Asesinato’ album and he destroyed it,’ remembers DJ Muggs.  “So after that we started a new song here and there.  I asked Eto if he had an idea for an album title and he said ‘Hell’s Roof’, which is a name they call his home turf.  When he said that I immediately knew that’s it.”

Eto adding, “Hell’s Roof is a name we call Rochester, because it’s our stomping ground and the dark sound that Muggs provides is the perfect backdrop.”
