Erick Sermon Drops Smooth New Single, That Girl feat. Big K.R.I.T. & Ricco Barrino

Erick Sermon has been dropping bars for over three decades now.  Whether it be with his partner Parrish Smith as part of the legendary EPMD or the legendary Def Squad collective, the legendary New York emcee still enjoys making Hip-Hop.  So as is the case with Valentine’s Day almost every year, Sermon’s latest single, That Girl, is the latest love-inspired record to drop on the lovers holiday.  The new single taken from his upcoming soon to be released newest solo album, Vernia (his grandmother’s name), features a great guest verse from Big K.R.I.T. and a very nostalgic smooth chorus from North Carolina based and Grand Hustle affiliated singer Ricco Barrino.  For a record that places a very high pedestal on Southern women it was only right to tap two Southern greats.
With Sermon having the following to say about the record, “I wanted to give the women a song they can feel proud and confident in, it’s how I was raised, by strong smart women in my family.  With all that’s going on with horrible things being brought to the light from years past.”  Adding, “I wanted the women of the world to know that old green eyes is still thinking about them and they are better than ever, I got their back.”
