Royce Da 5’9″ keeps it real in the field on his politically charged self-produced new single, Field Negro. Which sees him switching beats and flows throughout the nearly six-minute track in three equally-biting parts that sees him at his lyrical best. As he takes on racial issues ranging from the debate of new slaves, self-placement, racial divide and name dropping references to Kanye West, Wale, Tory Lanez and the NFL that have helped bring about most of this current racially divided tension amongst a majority of the Hip-Hop community and even a good portion of America too. But mostly in the Hip-Hop and urban community and Royce tackles it in a way only he and only a select few other emcees really could that also shows why he’s easily one of the best emcees of all-time.
