There was talks for awhile not that long ago about Wu-Tang Clan member, Ghostface Killah, dropping a Supreme Clientele 2. While it appears that will be on hold for now, as Ghost and longtime Wu-Tang affiliate Matthew “M-80” Markoff, today officially unveiled news that Ghostface will be releasing a new solo album, The Lost Tapes, later this year. Executive produced by M-80, the new album will also be solely produced by legendary underground producer, Big Ghost, and has an All-Star lineup of guests features, which ranges from such fellow legendary emcee’s as, Snoop Dogg, Big Daddy Kane, KXNG CROOKED, and of course fellow Wu members such as, Raekwon, Masta Killa, Inspectah Deck and Cappadonna and many more.
M-80 having the following to say in a statement about the new album, “The new Ghostface & Big Ghost album is definitely something that is going to blow the minds of Wu-Tang and Hip-Hop fans alike. The collective goal in calling it, The Lost Tapes, was to bring fans back to the Ironman/ Supreme Clientele/ Cuban Linx era sound.”
The very soulful and crazy first single, Saigon Velour, which features Snoop, E-40 & longtime Wu-Tang affiliate, LA the Darkman, was also released and can be heard below. The tracklist for the sure to be highly-anticipated album, which is set to drop on Oct. 5th, there as well.
