Royce Da 5’9″ Reconnects With Eminem For New Single/Video, Caterpillar

Earlier today Royce Da 5’9″ reconnected with his longtime friend and Bad Meets Evil collaborator, Eminem for his very lyrically killer new track, Caterpillar.  Which Royce premiered the very dope new mostly black-and-white James Larese-directed video through Vevo along with the latest single from his upcoming highly-anticipated new solo album, Book of Ryan, which drops at midnight tonight.

It finds the two Detroit emcees trading rapid-fire rhymes throughout with King Green providing the hook, as Nickel and Em provide some of the best rhymes we have heard from both in quite some time.  Which makes the need for a new Bad Meets Evil album that more evident too.

Royce had the following to say about the new track, “The basic theme of the song is, ‘Don’t disrespect the caterpillar to praise the butterfly.  Marshall falls a little bit more into that category than I do, but both of us are caterpillars.  A lot of times, you’ll praise these guys but gotta tear us down…But where do you think his style came from?”

Check the new visual, which features quite a few dope special effects as well throughout below.
