New KXNG CROOKED – Body Freestyle

Towards the end of January Westcoast emcee KXNG CROOKED started dropping freestyles almost weekly and many thought that almost a decade after starting his famed Hip-Hop Weekly series, he was starting the series back up.

And while for the first few weeks he was dropping freestyles almost weekly on every Thursday, over the past month, he has switched up to bodying other artists instrumentals every other week.

So yesterday was the next scheduled drop and sure enough the C.O.B. rep came through yet again with straight bars, showing why he’s one of the illest lyricists in Hip-Hop.  This time bodying the current popular happy-go-lucky dancehall sounding vibes of Ed Sheeran’s latest hit single, which you can listen to below.

Giving us such quotable’s as, “She like mumble rappers, but I convert her to Tupac.  96 Bonnie & Clyde burning in the jukebox.  Now that she knows the truth, she ain’t concerned when you dudes drop” and “Take a seat, it will shock you quicker than Thomas Edison’s electric chair.  I’m writing the death sentence, but it’s still Fred Astaire cause dancing on beats keeps me relevant.”
