After first world premiering through Freeform on Sunday night March 5th, Ariana Grande and John Legend bring their stellar remake of Disney’s “Beauty and the Beast” to life in the gorgeous and enchanting new Dave Meyers-directed video. From the very beginning of the clip, it feels just as enchanting and magical as the iconic film it’s inspired by.
Grande staring out the castle window in a very stunning flowing rose red gown with her hair wore all the way down starts to walk down as sparks start to fly and joins Legend, who’s seated playing at a grand piano dressed in a jacket fit for a prince. As the duo starts to sing the iconic lyrics to their remake of the classic 1991 originally sung by Celine Dion and Peabo Bryson that they recreated for the highly anticipated upcoming live-action film adaptation of the Disney animated classic.
Red cloaked dancers start to perform choreographed moves around Ari to create a whimsical flower petal effect, while scenes from the new film are interspersed between Ari and John’s performance that’s right in the middle of the film’s memorable beautiful ballroom dance scene with Belle and the Beast. Which also has sparklers going off in the very magical CGI visuals that you can watch below.
The soundtrack for the film is set to be released this Friday March 10th and feature contributions from Dion, Alan Menken and Tim Rice among others. While the highly anticipated live-action adoption of the iconic movie, which stars Emma Watson, Dan Stevens and Ewan McGregor is set to hit theaters the following Friday on March 17th.
