Swedish singer/songwriter Snoh Aalegra is back like she never left. It’s been a while since we heard from the beautifully talented songstress, but yesterday she decided to release her very soulful new single, Nothing Burns Like The Cold featuring her ARTium Records labelmate Vince Staples.
This marks the fourth time the duo has collaborated, as they also teamed up on Snoh’s Emotional Remix and the standout tracks Jump Off the Roof and Señorita from Vince’s debut album, Summertime ’06.
On this latest record, which is produced by Christian Rich and features the soulfully cinematic sound we have come to expect on her records, the singer showcases yet again her beautifully sweet vocals. As she sings about an emotional heartbreak she went through on this vintage classic and timeless sounding record, which also has Staples adding his own poetic flair about an unstable relationship.
One would hope this means we’re getting closer to yet another amazing new project from Snoh too. But in the meantime listen to the soulfully great new record below and feel free to cop on iTunes as well.
