Detroit emcee and Shady Records, Slaughterhouse rep, Royce Da 5’9″ has started 2017 on a tear, by taking various beats from different artists and making them his own with freestyles he has dropped every Monday of January so far. It doesn’t look like Royce will be stopping anytime soon too, as earlier today on the final Monday of the month he decides to take fellow Detroit emcee Big Sean’s “Moves” and Dave East’s, Don Q & G Herbo’s “No Hook” for a spin, on the appropriately titled, Let’s Take Them To War. With how much Nickel rips this latest freestyle and has been to other people’s instrumentals all month, it definitely sounds like he’s ready for war on the mic. The transition from the first beat to the second and how he really destroys that second half, truly shows once again why Royce is one of the best emcees and lyricists out now too and only just keeps getting better.
