Merry Christmas Lil’ Mama and Chicago. Christmas arrives early for much of Chicago and Hip-Hop, as late last night two of the cities brightest young stars right now in both Hip-Hop and R&B, Chance the Rapper and Jeremih have joined forces to release a collaborative holiday EP, appropriately titled, Merry Christmas Lil’ Mama. Thus giving many Chicagoans a very pleasant early Christmas present, just days before the actual holiday.
The release seemingly came out of left field and nobody knows where it came from, but nobody’s complaining because these are two of most everybody’s favorite artists not only in Chicago, but across music right now. With the amazing year both Chance and Jeremih have had, this is the perfect way to possibly end on a high note, unless of course either has anymore surprises before the end of the year.
Which with Chano and the type of impact year he has had full of surprises, I wouldn’t put it past him to do so. In the meantime though, you can listen below to the new project to get you in that great Holiday mood.
