A week after releasing one of her most critically acclaimed and what Alicia Keys and many critics are calling her most personal album to date, Here, Alicia premiered earlier today on TODAY, her new video for her latest single, Blended Family (What You Do For Love) featuring A$AP Rocky. A stirring black-and-white visual, which follows eight modern day blended families from all walks of life, including Alicia and her family, which it’s mostly centered on. Her fellow New York native and guest feature Rocky’s family is also featured as well, with the moving song celebrating the modern day blended family and its just as inspiringly moving video shining light on the beautifully diverse array each family has and their love for each other at a time when it’s truly needed in the world and even more so in America than anywhere with all the racial divide right now. As Alicia put about the song and video, “Inclusion makes us stronger and in the name of love, we will rise.” Indeed we will and you can watch the emotionally powerful clip below to see that there’s still power and meaning to music at times like now when they’re needed most, were we show inclusion and love really do make us stronger.
