Westcoast and Hip-Hop legend DJ Quik may have released his latest album, The Midnight Life, back in October of last year, but that isn’t stopping him from promoting said album. As the Compton vet releases a video for one of the standout tracks from the album, which is also a personal favorite of mine, Puffin The Dragon. A very smooth and amazing record that really shows why Quik is still one of the best emcees/producers ever in Hip-Hop or across any genre with his groundbreaking G-Funk sound that pioneered so many other Westcoast Hip-Hop greats. Records like this really make me wish I would’ve picked this album up sooner rather than later too with how amazing the album is, which I picked up just a little under a couple of weeks ago and has been in steady rotation since.
