Tori Kelly, Robin Thicke and Ne-Yo Tribute Smokey Robinson at 2015 BET Awards

During last night’s 2015 BET Awards, music legend Smokey Robinson being honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award was one of the many of the highlights of the night.  As he was honored with a very great tribute from buzzing singer Tori Kelly, Robin Thicke and Ne-Yo.

With Kelly making her first ever BET Awards performance and showing off her very powerful pipes with her rendition of Smokey’s classically penned “Who’s Loving You,” which was most famously covered by the Jackson 5.  Following that Robin Thicke made a return to the stage and with his very rousing rendition of Smokey and The Miracles “Ooo Baby Baby,” showed why despite a lot of us forgetting (cause of his recent antics) that he’s one of the most talented voices still in all of music.  Current Motown Records artist Ne-Yo then turned up the energy in the Microsoft Theater a little as he slid onstage with another Smokey and The Miracles classic with the always feel-good “The Tears of a Clown.”

Smokey then ended with one of the most moving speeches you will ever hear, before he showed he’s still one of the best performers of all-time with his performance of his classics “The Tracks of My Tears,” “Crusin” and “My Girl.”  As the audience sang and clapped along, while Ne-Yo, Robin and Tori all came back on stage to join the Motown legend.  You can watch each of the memorable performances below.
