Hot 97 released it’s annual Summer Jam lineup last week, so you know it was only a matter of time before the biggest radio station for Hip-Hop in Los Angeles, Power 106, fired back with it’s lineup for Powerhouse, it’s own annual summer concert series it has each summer. Like it’s New York counterpart, L.A.’s Powerhouse 2015 isn’t shy on big names with them pulling the rare headline spot from Kanye West and also having the likes of Ludacris, independent giant Tech N9ne, Los Angeles natives Nipsey Hu$$le, Kid Ink, Ty Dolla $ign and Tinashe on the bill. Most would ask with Kanye being from Chicago why he would headline a Los Angeles show like this, but with L.A. being his current home and him being arguably the biggest not only Hip-Hop, but possibly even music artist in the world right now, it’s only right he be named as the main headliner for such a big summer Hip-Hop show in that area. The lineup really reflects how much Los Angeles Hip-Hop is running things right now too with more then half of the artists being from the L.A. area or some part of Cali. Tinashe is not only only the only female in the pretty solid lineup for the show, but the only non Hip-Hop artist as well. The video with the announcement for the full lineup can be seen below.
