Fresh off the announcement that she will be joining Jhené Aiko’s upcoming headlining, ‘Enter the Void Tour,’ TDE’s First Lady, SZA dropped some new music yesterday afternoon with the Chris Calor, Cody, Thundercat, LoveDragon and Sounwave-produced, Sobriety. While most of her Top Dawg Entertainment labelmates have been pretty much all getting their shine lately, the singer/songwriter has remained relatively quiet since she released her latest project, Z, earlier in the year. So new music from SZA was long overdue and it definitely doesn’t disappoint, as she gets as personal as ever. Singing about everything from relationship and family woes to aliens and as the title suggests, a problem that plagues most creative minds if not most people, the ability to remain sober. SZA’s smooth delivery of her lovely vocals over the lust and exquisite sound of the production that all the producer’s provide, make for a very magnificent and amazing record, which makes us all wonder in excitement what other great projects besides Z, the songstress has in the works,
