Chicago Bears Sign Veteran Wide Receiver Santonio Holmes To Fill Slot Position!

The Chicago Bears have signed former New York Jets and Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Santonio Holmes, the team formally announced today.

Holmes is nowhere near the Super Bowl MVP he once was, but it’s a great low-risk, high-reward signing by the team that gives them someone really reliable that can be the team’s number three receiver behind starters Brandon Marshall and Alshon Jeffery.

The veteran also gives the team someone with Super Bowl experience for a Bears team with the potential the offense has on paper is looking to try to make a serious run at the Super Bowl this year if they can live up to the hype of their offense.

It will definitely be interesting to see how well Holmes fits in with the team and if he can make that much of a difference to a team that has very high expectations going into the new NFL season.
