With the release date of his upcoming long awaited and anticipated Prisoner of Conscious album slowly approaching Talib Kweli decides to leak track 11 from the album, Rocket Ships featuring fellow BK emcee Busta Rhymes. With razor sharp production by the RZA of the legendary Wu-Tang Clan that sounds like that classic Wu sound it starts off slowly with chants before going into a crazy and insanely ridiculous live beat that goes into some of the most livest horns you will ever hear and over some of the most savage two-fisted percussion rhythm of drums ever before the veteran emcees absolutely destroy the track by trading very aggressive, punchline-packed verses. A very insanely lyrical track that with the very live instrumental takes you back to that 90’s golden era of Hip-Hop sound and makes you just want to watch both emcees bring out their all by performing the track live on stage. This is definitely a standout track from Kweli’s highly anticipated Conscious album that drops next Tuesday May 7th that has me anticipating the album even more.
