Those who follow VIDDY know that comedian Bill Cosby is one of its users. This year, as he emcees the 34th Annual Playboy Jazz Festival, he will add VIDDY to the mix.
This is Cosby’s 32nd appearance as emcee for the Playboy Jazz Festival, and it has been announced it will be his last, as well. The festival runs at the Hollywood Bowl, June 16-17, Saturday and Sunday of this coming weekend.
To honor the event, the 74-year old legend and VIDDY have created an interactive contest. The top three winning VIDDYs will receive a pair of tickets to the 2013 Playboy Jazz Festival. Twenty more winners will receive signed copies of Bill Cosby and The Hilton Ruiz Ensemble’s album, “Keep Standing.”
To enter, would-be contestants should go to VIDDY’s Facebook page, www.facebook.com/viddyinc, and click on the link for the contest. “Like” VIDDY’s page and fill in the requested information to enter to possibly win a signed copy of “Keep Standing.”
After that, you simply log into your VIDDY account, and upload a video that shows how you celebrated at the 2012 Playboy Jazz Festival, along with the hashtag #CosbyJazz. Bill Cosby will personally pick his favorite three #CosbyJazz VIDDYs on June 18 with the grand prize winners receiving the aforementioned pair of tickets to next year’s Playboy Jazz Festival.
The Playboy Jazz Festival has showcased the talents of both established and up-and-coming musicians of the genre annually since 1979. This year’s lineup includes Sheila E., Ramsey Lewis, Ozomatli, the Christian McBride Big Band, and Boney James – along with many more.
Hugh Hefner spoke of the festival saying, “I’ve had a lot of things to be proud of in my life, but nothing more, quite frankly, than the Jazz Festival.”

Some celebrities have participated in the creation of production packs. Those celebrities include Linkin Park, Mindless Behavior, T-Pain, and still more.
Sadly, VIDDY is only available on iOS, although the company says it is coming to the Android platform, as well. However, much like with Instagram, VIDDY seems to be taking a very long time to reach Google’s mobile OS.
