Preview of ScHoolboy Q’s #THeGroovyTour Stop In Chicago This Tues. May 8th!

After being touted as this generation’s N.W.A. by Hip-Hop independent heavyweight Tech N9ne and also getting co-signs from the likes of Hip-Hop heavyweights Snoop Dogg and former N.W.A. member Dr. Dre himself, you could see why Hip-Hop quartet Black Hippy and their label Top Dawg Entertainment just recently inked a joint venture deal with the Doc’s Aftermath and Interscope Records.
With such a versatile group that includes everything from that good old westcoast gangsta rap in Jay Rock, socially conscious and very lyrical rap in Kendrick Lamar, that mix of conscious rap, street and smoker’s anthem type rap in ScHoolboy Q and pretty much all that mixed into 1 including an actual hippy type rap in Ab-Soul you could see why the group has gotten so many co-signs from such heavyweights.
Q, who is probably the most versatile and promising member of the group right now as shown from his recent highly touted street album Habits & Contradictions, is probably the most commercial appealing member as well, though he still mostly keeps it underground.  With such great tracks as Blessed, Hands On The Wheel, Druggys With Hoes Again & Nightmare On Figg St. on his recent release that show this versatility you could see why.  This along with Q’s very great stage show that is not only one of the best I have ever seen, but one of the most exciting you will ever witness and enjoy if you are a fan of good Hip-Hop music and just love having a really good time at a concert period is why you should come out to Reggie’s this Tuesday to check out ScHoolboy Q on his current #THeGroovyTour going on now along with fellow Black Hippy member Ab-Soul.
