My fam over at Krucial Conceptz caught up with Angels Wit Durty Faces and got a chance to ask a few questions to get to know them a little bit better. Check it out below:

Your group name, Angels Wit Durty Faces, how and where did that come about?

Face: We got it from a very old movie.

Bleaze: The name of the Movie is called “Angels With Dirty Faces” it’s a classic! I think the meaning of the name is great like a oxymoron, so we decided to make a mixtape call that. Then we just decided to call ourselves that.

How did the two of you come about being a group?

Bleaze: I was working with him as i artist i was producing beats for him and mutual friends.

Face: Through mutual friends we were both recording with from around the same neighborhood.

When you were a little kids, what did you say you wanted to be when you grew up?

Face: I really thought i was going to become a Professional Baseball player.

Bleaze: I was into a lot of sports, Baseball, Basketball, & Football. It was either one of those but i always had a passion for music

When it comes to the whole aspect of the music industry, what gives you that drive to make music & want to pursue further?

Face: The mere love of Hip Hop itself motivates me everyday, also to provide for my family gives me the drive to succeed in the music industry.

Bleaze: I think its just my passion for greatness.

Who are some producers and singers in the industry now that you would like to work with later on?

Bleaze & Face: Dj Premier, Pete Rock, Dr. Dre, Kanye, Swiss Beatz, Timbaland and Ryan Leslie.

What do you think is the best thing about being an artist?

Face: The fact that you get to express your thoughts and feelings to the world.

Bleaze: The creative process, the writing, the recording, the actual song and then the reaction from your peers and fans. Theirs nothing like it.

Was there any one song or artist that was the reason you wanted to start with music?

Bleaze: A lot artist were the reason. My hispanic background and where i was born the Bronx, were the major ones.

Face: Being around my Father and uncles with there Salsa Bands i knew i had to be involved in music somehow, then i heard the likes of Run Dmc, KRSOne and LL Cool J and the rest was history.

What projects are you working on now and what goals do you have for this coming year?

Bleaze & Face: We are constantly working on new mixtapes, videos and live performances.  The goal is simple, keep giving the general public great product. We have a Album called “Dark days Bright nights” coming out Sept 4th 2011 so be on the look out for that!

If there was one piece of advice you would give someone else wanting to start in the music career, what

would you say?

Face: Three things: Humility, Persistence and Confidence.

Bleaze: Patience, because this has history. This is a career. This is a lifestyle.

So, what are your top 3 songs that stay on rotation daily that you just gotta hear?

Bleaze: Of course my team’s music but Anything from Reasonable Doubt (Jay z)  Illmatic (Nas ) or Ready to Die (B.i.G)

Face: Truthfully, anything recorded by any artist from our record label Regulator Music Group Inc. (RMGInc.).

What would you say is your favorite 16-bars from one of your songs?

Face: I really dont have a favorite because my thought process is to always record something better than the last track i layed down.

Bleaze: I have a couple, but i always try to out do what I’ve done.

You are at a show about to perform, what do you do to prepare yourself?

Bleaze: i just get focused on putting on a great performance.

Face: I like to listen to R n B, it helps me get into performance mode loll. Also, i try to drink alot of water.

Later on, if you were to win an award for your music, who would you thank?

Face: First the obvious Jesus Christ, then my wife and two daughters followed by my family and RMG.

Bleaze: God, My spouse, my family, my team and i can’t forget the haters! lol

Who were/are your greatest influences musically?

Bleaze: wow, I think i got influenced by more than one, but if i had to pick i’d say Nas.

Face: The Whole RMG team, Notorious B.I.G, Big Pun, Jay-Z, Nas and Eminem.

Do you write your own music or do you have a team that you work with?

Face & Bleaze : Yes, we write all of my music.

Say your career takes off & you make it mainstream, what do you think, if anything, you will change

about yourself or everyday life?

Face: I really wouldn’t change anything, as long as i keep positive, hardworking people in my circle I’m okay.

Bleaze: Not much, as long as I’m living good and i can take care of my love ones, I’m good.

What kind of impact do you hope your music will leave on fans & remember for years to come?

Bleaze: Greatness i want my music to leave a mark on the game. I want fans to remember it and compare it to the greats.

Face: I would like to leave my fans with the impression that i always put my blood, sweat and tears into anything i have ever did.

Is there any quote or saying, that you live by or you feel that inspires you?

Face: Trust in God, Believe in yourself.

Bleaze: Things just don’t happen, you have to make them happen

In conclusion, I just gotta ask, describe yourselves in 3 words.

Bleaze: Entrepreneur , Focused and Humble.

Face: Triple C: Cool, Calm and Collective lol
