Viewer’s Choice Award Mixup Leads to Awkward Chris Brown/Rhianna Moment

So one of the biggest moments of the night  didnt come from Beyonce, a fight, or Kanye west snatching the mic. It came from none other than BET superfan Tiffany Greene who was chosen to present the Viewers’ Choice Award with Terrence and Rocsi.

This year, BET was announcing winners not from an envelope, but a tablet PC with the winner information, while simultaneously the teleprompter has the script. She read off the tablet, announcing the winner as Chris Brown, but the teleprompter said Rihanna and Drake were the winners for “What’s My Name?”

Drake accepted the award, saying, “Well that was awkward.”After the embarrassing mixup, host Kevin Hart brought Chris on stage at the end of the show and announced that he was indeed the winner.

“Bawling backstage. They totally fu**ed me up,” wrote Tiffany after being bombarded by angry fans.

BET programming executive Stephen Hill admitted the error was BET’s fault. “That BET Awards Viewer’s Choice mix-up was due to human error,” he tweeted. “And I was the human that made that error. I apologize to ALL affected.”
