Gate Five, a video game maker filed suit against Beyonce on Monday in New York. The company says the superstar performer didn’t hold up her end of the deal for a game structured around her.
The lawsuit says the singer “made a lucrative agreement in June for a game called ‘Starpower: Beyonce,’ then demanded a new deal and abruptly abandoned the project.”
Additionally, the suit, reports the NY Post, says Beyonce drove a backer away and destroyed Gate Five’s business. The company claims it lost its nearly $7 million investment in the venture and more than $100 million in potential profits, and 70 people lost their jobs.
Her publicist and the company’s lawyer didn’t immediately respond to inquiries, according to the report.
