T-Mobile Sidekick 4G is officially announced

On March 14th, T-Mobile officially announced  the Sidekick 4G, which was briefly mentioned by them in the past. The successor to a very popular family of phones has taken a big step into the smartphone world, as it is built by Samsung, and will come with Android 2.2.

As you can see in the image, this new device is not bad looking at all. For those that are specifically fond of the Sidekick general form-factor, the good news is that the device looks very similar to the sidekick slide, and though the software experience will be completely different, the buttons and keyboard are very similar.

T-Mobiles new Sidekick will be available this Spring, and these are some of the specs and features:

Android 2.2 Froyo
1 GHz Hummingbird Processor
4G Data Speed
3 Megapixel Rear-Facing Camera / VGA Front-Facing Camera
Physical QWERTY Keyboard

This device is definitely more of a higher-end device compared to the other Sidekicks, and will sure be a great option to many Sidekick/Android fans. Please let us know what you think, and please subscribe and/or follow me on Twitter for more Android news, tips, and tutorials.
