Rick Ross was arrested Friday night in his Hilton hotel room in downtown Shreveport, Louisiana. According to reports, there was a strong smell of marijuana coming from Ross’ room and when authorities investigated, they found marijuana in Ross’ room. He was arrested and later released. In a seperate incident the same night, Philadelpha Eagles Jason Star was arrested for resisting arrest after being told to lower the volume of music in his car. Both were scheduled to guest host an event at Kokopellis Nightclub.

This guy  just can’t catch a break. According to AP, Ja plead guilty to two counts of tax evasion of $3 million earlier today in Newark. He will be sentenced in June. On 8th of that same month, Rule begins his two year prison term for his 2007 gun charge. His next album, The Renaissance Project is set to be released the day before.

A lot of speculation about pricing and availability for the very much anticipated Blackberry Playbook has been laid to rest, finally.

Today, RIM and Best Buy announced the pre-orders, pricing and launch date for the BlackBerry PlayBook tablet. The BlackBerry PlayBook with Wi-Fi will come in three models, featuring 16GB, 32GB or 64GB of storage at $499, $599 and $699 respectively. It is scheduled to be available on April 19 from all Best Buy stores and Best Buy Mobile stores in the U.S., as well as Best Buy and Future Shop stores in Canada.  Customers in the U.S. and Canada can place their orders beginning today by visiting their local Best Buy, Best Buy Mobile or Future Shop store, or by ordering on-line atwww.bestbuy.com/playbook. On top of this there will be availability at more than 20,000 retail outlets including AT&T stores, Best Buy, Office Depot, RadioShack, Staples, and Verizon stores.

The operation to cool the reactors at the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant has suffered a setback after smoke and vapour was seen rising from two reactors, as anxiety grew over the safety of food produced in the area.

Water in a pool for storing spent fuel was reaching boiling point, raising the possibility that spent fuel rods could be exposed in turn releasing further radiation, said an official from the nuclear safety agency.

“We cannot leave this alone and we must take care of it as quickly as possible,” said the official, Hidehiko Nishiyama.

So Men In Black III should have finishing shooting and it should be in production by now but apparently (according to this report) hasn’t even begun to start filming because Will Smith is not happy with the movie’s script.  I mean the kids these days don’t even know about the Men In Black series so would it even be worth it to try to make this? It’s not like the movie was that big of a film anyways…

Just before Election Day, gunmen opened fire at the vehicle Wyclef Jean was in while passing through Delmas #65 in Port-au-Prince. He was taken to the hospital to be treated for a gunshot wound to the hand and is in good condition.

It was made official by the Guinness Book of World Records earlier, that the sale of the sex.com domain name was made at the highest sales price for any domain name in history. What do you think the domain name sex.xxx might sell for?

The world might soon find out, as the ICANN Board of Directors has approved a new .xxx domain name.  ICANN, or the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers, oversees the top level-domain names on the Web, meaning .com, .net, and so forth. The idea for a .xxx domain name has been around for nearly a decade, and was even approved briefly in 2005, before ICANN reversed itself a few years later.
