HP Slate demonstration video appears on Youtube

We’ve been hearing speculation and rumors about the HP Slate since CES 2010 in January, with very little information about it available since then other than the fact it’ll run Windows 7. It’s been rumored to be a 8.9” slate with 1024×600 resolution, an Atom Z530 processor, 1 GB or ram, 3 Megapixel camera, and SGX 535 graphic chip that can manage HD playback.

A Youtube video was posted a few hours ago that looks very much like a finished prototype of the HP Slate running Windows 7. It shows the user playing videos, navigating the operating system, and browsing the web.  The user says it’s lighter than a iPad, has an SD card and microphone with various buttons.

Pricing hasn’t been announced yet, but we’re guessing it’s going to be in the expensive category. Check out the video to the left of the article.
