5 Cheap Meals To Stay Away From

With African American’s having a genetic problem with high cholesterol and diabetes, it is time for us to do better and watch what we eat.

Yahoo has put together a list of some common restaurant items that may look and smell delicious, but are doing more damage to your body and health than any other food out there.   These are 5 of the many different foods you should stay away from when out eating.

Although I love cheese just as much as the next person, I am pretty confident to say that Denny’s went a little overboard with this one.  With the maximum amount of Sodium intake in a day suggested at 2,300 mg, this one meal alone takes you over the limit and is easily one of the saltiest meals out there.  Throw in the 1,260 calories out of the 2,000 recommended a day then you pretty much have your entire daily intake in one meal.  If you are eating something with cheese inside more cheese, it’s probably not a healthy meal for you.

They say breakfast is the most important meal of the day, but they definitely didn’t say it had to be the most fattening. Obviously going to IHOP may not be the healthiest breakfast choices, but when you do go make sure to stay away from the New York Cheesecake Pancakes. Already close to ¾ of your daily needed calories, this fatty food is only an ideal meal if you plan on not eating anything else for the rest of the day. With other pancakes like their chocolate chip pancakes with only half of the calories, it would be a better day to stay away from this item. After all, eating this is equivalent to eating 28 McDonalds Chicken Nuggets.

Many of you guys may not have a Friendly’s restaurant in your area, and for that you should be thankful!  Along with Denny’s wonderful creation, Friendly’s also lives by the “you can never have too much cheese” rule.  Since buns are not enough for Burgers anymore, this grilled cheese sandwich mixed with a cheese burger  comes in a whopping 1500 calories and is just begging to clog your arteries.  Equivalent to eating 20 Snicker granola bars, it seems eating ANYTHING else would be a better idea than this.

With Lobster being a sweet and healthy food item, only in America would we ruin it by putting it on a pizza.  Now don’t get me wrong, I love lobster pizza just as much as anyone else, but adding twice as much cheese and bacon to it doesn’t exactly sound too exciting.  If you plan to eat Uno’s Lobster BLT Pizza, you don’t have to worry about sodium since it has enough for 2 days of your recommended intake.  Although this may look the most appealing out of all of the foods on this list, it would be a better idea to stay away.

With a loaded 2 days of sodium and almost a whole day of calories, this is easily one of the most unhealthy meals you can purchase.  Once again, America shows its obsession with cheese, this time stuffing cheese into meatballs on an already creamy Fettuccine Alfredo.   Although this pasta dish may not look as unhealthy as it is, 97 grams of pure fat will tell you differently.  Unless your a bear preparing to hibernate, there is no reason anyone should eat something with so much fat and salt.
